ME AS DESIGNER
Hello everyone, I’m XiaoZhu Mou, also the creator of this website. I’m very glad that you visited. Right now, I want to have a conversation with you to let you know a bit about who I am. I am an industrial designer, or more accurately, a student studying industrial design. It’s a pleasure to meet you all here.
The first three years have been quite challenging, with many ups and downs, especially on a psychological level. But I’m proud to say that I’ve persevered. To be honest, my initial goal wasn’t to become an industrial designer. However, through this journey, I’ve found that industrial design is something that truly brings me joy. When a product is truly developed, all the time and effort I’ve invested feels meaningful. So, once again, I want to thank you for visiting this website.
AS A DESIGNER
After introducing myself, I also hope you can enjoy my products. As a student, I don’t claim to have absolute confidence in my work, but my journey as a designer has led me to an honest conclusion: design is, in some ways, a personal endeavor. We need to create products that we genuinely like, while also meeting market demands. Once we’ve achieved these functions, why not slow down a little and reflect on what we truly enjoy, what we truly want to do?
In the process of change, we don’t always have to alter the functionality or the core audience of a product. Sometimes, the changes are just small tweaks to the appearance, adding a little personal touch. This balance between life and design has been one of the most important things I’ve learned in these three years, and I believe it’s the key lesson I’ve gained from this journey. You can see these values reflected in my design works.
